I cried out to you in my distress, the delivering God, and from your temple-throne you heard my troubled cry.

My sobs came right into your heart and you turned your face to rescue me…

When I was at my weakest, my enemies attacked— but the Lord held on to me. His love broke open the way and he brought me into a beautiful broad place. He rescued me—because his delight is in me! (Psa 18)

The first truth we have to take onboard is: GOD didn’t die ‘our’ horrible death just to go dump us when we make a mistake thereafter – His delight is in you and me!

The second wraps itself around our free will: When we recognise our weakness and acknowledge need of Him, He ACTS! ❤️

(Jesus speaking) “How satisfied you are when you demonstrate tender mercy! For tender mercy will be demonstrated to you.” (Mat 5:3)

Many years ago I was trying to build up my business again after cancer treatment. I needed a particular piece of coding done and a friend recommended that I speak to someone they knew.

The guy I spoke with was rudeness personified…! Half way through the conversation I wanted to scream at him and slam the phone down! After about another 20 minutes of this – I did!

The statement “there was silence in Heaven for about half an hour,” came to mind. I ‘knew’ I’d done wrong by losing my patience at His attitude. And I also knew that the Holy Spirit wouldn’t give me any Peace until “I” apologised for my prideful stance!

Bottom line – I called him back and apologised. We subsequently became good friends, and his mercy on my life together with his business acumen saved me from financial ruin.

Holy Spirit, please bring Your Divine Silence into all our lives until we obey You. Amen! ❤️

Lord, my heart is meek before you. I don’t consider myself better than others. I’m content to not pursue matters that are over my head— such as your complex mysteries and wonders— that I’m not yet ready to understand.

I am humbled and quieted in your presence. Like a contented child who rests on its mother’s lap, I’m your resting child and my soul is content in you.

O people of God, your time has come to quietly trust, waiting upon the Lord now and forever. (Psa 131)

Holy Father, help us to rest in your Awesomeness while we quietly trust for your promises to materialise. ❤️

Lord, if you measured us and marked us with our sins, who would ever have their prayers answered?

But your forgiving love is what makes you so wonderful. No wonder you are loved and worshiped!

This is why I wait upon you, expecting your breakthrough, for your word brings me hope. (Psa 130:3)

GOD knows our hearts – in fact He knew we were going to struggle with sin long before we even faced it, and yet like the true Father He is, He stayed with us right through the pain of our action.

His purpose isn’t to punish us, but to help us understand that with his help, we CAN face the ugliness of the bully that gets up in our face, and defeat it – WITHOUT having to use the world’s weapons of bitter words, curses, threats or violence.

Father, please help me to sincerely trust You today. Amen. ❤️

Lord, prove them wrong when they say, “God can’t help you!” Let the light of your radiant face break through and shine upon us! (Psa 4:6)

If you’re like me then it’s not so much what ‘they’ say as what my own heart says!

But then what does GOD say? “Whenever our hearts make us feel guilty and remind us of our failures, we know that God is much greater and more merciful than our conscience, and he knows everything there is to know about us.

My delightfully loved friends, when our hearts don’t condemn us, we have a bold freedom to speak face-to-face with God. And whatever we ask of him we receive, because we keep his commands. And by our beautiful intentions we continue to do what brings pleasure to him. (1 John 3:20) ❤️

Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves release forgiveness to those who have wronged us. (Mat 6:12)

I’m sure that you’re all so holy and not like me at all – where just driving to and from work tests me on my forgiveness levels!

The thing is, if we can’t do it because of our love for our Lord, then maybe Jesus’s next Words will help: “And when you pray, make sure you forgive the faults of others so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you. But if you withhold forgiveness from others, your Father withholds forgiveness from you.”

Lay aside bitter words, temper tantrums, revenge, profanity, and insults. But instead be kind and affectionate toward one another. Has God graciously forgiven you? Then graciously forgive one another in the depths of Christ’s love. (Eph 4:31) ❤️

Mercy kissed me, even though I used to be a blasphemer, a persecutor of believers, and a scorner of what turned out to be true. I was ignorant and didn’t know what I was doing. I was flooded with such incredible grace, like a river overflowing its banks, until I was full of faith and love for Jesus, the Anointed One!

I can testify that the Word is true and deserves to be received by all, for Jesus Christ came into the world to bring sinners back to life—even me, the worst sinner of all!

Yet I was captured by grace, so that Jesus Christ could display through me the outpouring of his Spirit as a pattern to be seen for all those who would believe in him for eternal life. Because of this my praises rise to the King of all the universe who is indestructible, invisible, and full of glory, the only God who is worthy of the highest honours throughout all of time and throughout the eternity of eternities! Amen! (1 Tim 1:13)

It good to remember the ugliness that could only be torn from you by His Blood and left behind – it gives the journey ahead so much more purpose. ❤️
