Day 55/365

Then Jesus gave this illustration: “Imagine what would happen if you were to go to one of your friends in the middle of the night and pound on his door and shout, ‘Please! Do you have some food you can spare? A friend just arrived at my house unexpectedly and I have nothing to serve him.’ But your friend says, ‘Why are you bothering me? The door’s locked and my family and I are all in bed. Do you expect me to get up and give you our food?’ But listen—because of your shameless impudence, even though it’s the middle of the night, your friend will get up out of his bed and give you all that you need.”

“So it is with your prayers. Ask and you’ll receive. Seek and you’ll discover. Knock on heaven’s door, and it will one day open for you. Every persistent person will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he needs. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door. (‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:5)

Can your Heavenly Father’s Love for you be any clearer? ❤️

Monday – 29/5/17

(GOD speaking) “Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you…” (Jer ‭1:5‬)

Bottom line – Nothing is impossible for GOD Who loves us and isn’t limited by anything that He created.

Ask, Seek, Knock … X

Friday -28/10/16

(Jesus speaking) “Imagine what would happen if you went to a friend in the middle of the night and said, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread. An old friend traveling through just showed up, and I don’t have a thing on hand.’
“The friend answers from his bed, ‘Don’t bother me. The door’s locked; my children are all down for the night; I can’t get up to give you anything.’

“But let me tell you, even if he won’t get up because he’s a friend, if you stand your ground, knocking and waking all the neighbors, he’ll finally get up and get you whatever you need.

“Here’s what I’m saying: Ask and you’ll get; Seek and you’ll find; Knock and the door will open.” (Luke‬ ‭11:5)

Persistence in prayer isn’t unbelief. Remember how Jesus prayed the same prayer 3 times in the garden of Gethsemane.

Child of the Living God – Ask and you’ll get; Seek and you’ll find; Knock and the door will open. X

Friday – 6/11/15

…There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us. (2 Tim‬ ‭3:14)

“I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.” (Psalm‬ ‭32:8‬)

Isn’t this fabulous? We have our Father’s life-breathed Word and His Promise of perpetual counsel.

Ask, seek, knock – Papà WILL answer! X

Saturday – 14/3/15

Oh, how I love all you’ve revealed; I reverently ponder it all the day long. Your commands give me an edge… they never become obsolete. I’ve even become smarter than my teachers since I’ve pondered and absorbed your counsel. I’ve become wiser than the wise old sages simply by doing what you tell me. I watch my step, avoiding the ditches and ruts of evil so I can spend all my time keeping your Word. I never make detours from the route you laid out; you gave me such good directions. Your words are so choice, so tasty; I prefer them to the best home cooking. With your instruction, I understand life; that’s why I hate false propaganda. (‭Psalm‬ ‭119‬:‭97).

How do we keep God’s Word? By acknowledging that ‘everything’ we do is in Papà’s Presence.

That way whatever la la we come to face, we know that He knows and so before we go off on one, we can simply ask: “how should I respond to this Papà?” X

Tuesday – 10/2/15

The unspiritual self, just as it is by nature, can’t receive the gifts of God’s Spirit. There’s no capacity for them. They seem like so much silliness. Spirit can be known only by spirit—God’s Spirit and our spirits in open communion. Spiritually alive, we have access to everything God’s Spirit is doing, and can’t be judged by unspiritual critics. Isaiah’s question, “Is there anyone around who knows God’s Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?” has been answered: Christ knows, and we have Christ’s Spirit. (‭1 Cor 2‬:‭14).

Lord … please help me to Ask, Seek and Knock, before I go zooming off making decisions on what little I know of any situation. X

Wednesday – 14/1/15

Seek, inquire of and for the Lord, and crave Him and His strength (His might and inflexibility to temptation); seek and require His face and His presence [continually] evermore. (‭Psalm‬ ‭105‬:‭4).

Papà says: “Child of Mine, don’t try and do this on your own anymore. Let Me help you.” X
