Friday

Never retaliate when someone treats you wrongly, nor insult those who insult you, but instead, respond by speaking a blessing over them—because a blessing is what God promised to give you. For the Scriptures tell us:

Whoever wants to embrace true life and find beauty in each day must stop speaking evil, hurtful words and never deceive in what they say. Always turn from what is wrong and cultivate what is good; eagerly pursue peace in every relationship, making it your prize. For the eyes of the Lord Yahweh rest upon the godly, and his heart responds to their prayers. But he turns his back on those who practice evil. (‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:9)

How many times have I gone round (and around, and around) this mountain. All I an tell you is that if you want to get out from the mess you’re in, and don’t want your prayers hindered, then please take notice of what the Spirit says. ❤️

Sunday

Hatred keeps old quarrels alive, but love draws a veil over every insult and finds a way to make sin disappear. (Pro 10:12‬)

So love finds a way to make sin disappear! What an amazing statement. If GOD has made love that powerful then what do we want from love?

Most of us will agree that when we mess up (and we do – often), we don’t want recrimination. What we actually want is kind, constant, and honest communication. We want to see love in action and not a rebuke. We want to see the seed of hope we have left flourish in a garden of peace. A place of willingness that works through difficulties and disagreements.

Likewise, we all have to go through the stress and strain of daily life, so we want our relationships to be interwoven through with a sense of humor, some fun that will act as a bit of distraction from all the la la the world throws up.

Bottom line, it’s a scary world out there and who better to help us all through life lessons than the One Who Overcame them all …?!

Lord Jesus, only you can ever know what my heart is feeling right now, and only you can remove and heal me from the harming flotsam and jetsam that wash up onto my shores daily. Come into my life and help me to love as you do me. Amen. ❤️

Saturday

If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing.

If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.

Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut, Doesn’t have a swelled head, Doesn’t force itself on others, Isn’t always “me first,” Doesn’t fly off the handle, Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, Doesn’t revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end…

…we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love. (‭‭1 Cor‬ ‭13) ❤️

Monday

I can testify that the Word is true and deserves to be received by all, for Jesus Christ came into the world to bring sinners back to life—even me, the worst sinner of all! (1 Tim 1:15)

We’re living in unprecedented times where the effects of unchecked fear grows rampant in our society. Fear from false news, fear of Covid-19, fear of job losses, fear of financial issues, fear of physical and mental issues, fear of loneliness, fear of what we’re becoming …!

But take heart, for just like Paul, we too can be saved – even from ourselves!

… I was captured by grace, so that Jesus Christ could display through me the outpouring of his Spirit as a pattern to be seen for all those who would believe in him for eternal life. Because of this my praises rise to the King of all the universe who is indestructible, invisible, and full of glory, the only God who is worthy of the highest honours throughout all of time and throughout the eternity of eternities! Amen! (‭‭1 Tim‬ ‭1:16) ❤️

Thursday

(GOD speaking) “My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. (‭‭2 Cor‬ ‭12:9)

This past few days I’ve tried to encourage you with stories of GOD’s Awesome Grace – His outworking Love in action.

And for every story recounted of GOD’s Grace, the ripple effect of encouragement will continue to reverberate throughout millions of broken and open hearts all over the world.

Child of the Living GOD, we are all weak, we all fall short, we all have sorrows that only Heaven can heal. Our Fathers Grace is enough. His Strength comes into its own in our time of weakness.

Look into His eyes and ask … ❤️

Tuesday

Who are you, Lord?” “I am Jesus, the Victorious… (‭‭Acts‬ ‭9:5)

My mother tells a story of how at five years old I almost drowned at our local open air Lido swimming pool.

All I remember about the event is an intense emotion rising as I watched everyone around me laughing, jumping in and having fun and I wanted to join in – so I jumped in too!

Unfortunately, as I didn’t know how to swim I just sank like a stone. I remember sitting at the bottom thinking that this isn’t as much fun as I thought it would be, when ‘something’ (a hand) grabbed me by the hair and dragged me back up to the surface and drew me out. I looked around to see who it was and there was no be there – just more kids running, jumping, laughing and playing.

I’m convinced that there will be many opportunities for our Lord to appear and save us even today. Sometimes He’ll appear as Himself and sometimes as someone else, (Jesus with skin on)!

So wherever you are on this journey – or whoever you’re praying for, He won’t (can’t) let us down. Just trust Him to turn up … ❤️

Wednesday

You may think you’re right all the time, but God thoroughly examines our motives. (‭‭Pro ‭21:2)

Humankind are excellent at justifying our actions – especially when we’re caught out!

The relationship with the young girl at work might seem innocent enough, but where’s it heading?

The magazine you found at the Gym tickles your fancy, but where’s this heading?

The drink you consumed last night helped chase away the shadows, but where’s it heading?

GOD knows everything, and He always examines all our motives, so why not stop and ask Him to reveal them to us? Perhaps the shock of what we’re ultimately heading towards would scare the heck out of us – and turn us back from the yawning precipice!

GOD, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting ways— the path that brings me back to you. (‭‭Psa 139:23) ❤️

Tuesday

Be good husbands to your wives. Honor them, delight in them.

As women they lack some of your advantages. But in the new life of God’s grace, you’re equals.

Treat your wives, then, as equals so your prayers don’t run aground. (‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:7‬)

As a I write this, I’m looking at a card that says: “Don’t laugh at your husbands choices, you’re one of them!”

Seeds of anger, bitterness, toxic jealousy, revenge, cannot be allowed to live in us because:

We pray to a GOD Who tells us that He IS Love. We pray from the NEW heart He gave us, a heart of Love. We pray through GOD’s Holy Spirit for those in need, with the compassion that comes from a new heart of Love.

Love one another … ❤️

Monday

(GOD speaking) “I, I’m the One comforting you. What are you afraid of—or who?” (‭‭Isa‬ ‭51:12)

All of us have experienced this. We’ve watched in awe as a young child ran into their mothers loving arms. Although the child seemed visibly distraught and terribly upset, they ‘instinctively’ knew where to go for help!

Likewise, our Heavenly Father doesn’t judge when we run back to Him – His arms are ever open wide and he ‘longs’ to prove Himself Faithful by comforting His Children.

(GOD speaking) “As a mother comforts her child, so I’ll comfort you.” (‭‭Isa 66:13. ❤️

Sunday

I lie awake each night thinking of you and reflecting on how you help me like a father. I sing through the night under your splendor-shadow, offering up to you my songs of delight and joy!

With passion I pursue and cling to you. Because I feel your grip on my life, I keep my soul close to your heart. (‭‭Psa‬ ‭63)

Go back and think on the first time you actually met GOD… wasn’t it amazing?!? For me it was the time that True Love actually stepped into the ugly mess of my life and blew all my fuses! I couldn’t think of anything anymore and I struggled to even remember to breathe – all my emotions shooting out in all directions like fireworks, as the volcano of my hurts and fears came out and disappeared…!

Well … today is a day to remember. Holy Father, remind me again of Your Awesome Love for me…! Thank You. ❤️
