Yes, indeed—God is my salvation. I trust, I won’t be afraid.

GOD —yes GOD!—is my strength and song, best of all, my salvation! (Isa 12:2)

Some reading this will be thinking “easy words to say, but you don’t know ‘my’ life!”

The thing is – GOD does! He knows ‘exactly ‘where’ you are and ‘how’ to lead you out!

(GOD speaking) “Child of Mine, trust me enough to honour me.” X

By your words I can see where I’m going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path. I’ve committed myself and I’ll never turn back from living by your righteous order.

Everything’s falling apart on me, GOD; put me together again with your Word. Festoon me with your finest sayings, GOD; teach me your holy rules.

My life is as close as my own hands, but I don’t forget what you have revealed. The wicked do their best to throw me off track, but I don’t swerve an inch from your course.

I inherited your book on living; it’s mine forever— what a gift! And how happy it makes me! I concentrate on doing exactly what you say— I always have and always will. (Psa 119:105)

I love the Psalms. They’re such a fabulously rich source of truths for us all …! X

(GOD speaking) “To the one who comes near me, I will show myself holy; Before all the people, I will show my glory.” (Lev 10:3)

When I was first introduced to GOD, I was beside myself. Shame, anger, bitterness flooded me and I just ‘knew’ that all the stupid and ugly things I’d chosen to do (my sins), wouldn’t let me go through.

I remember the immense sorrow that threatened to carry me off and away into the darkness of even more self pity.

Then what Jesus spoke came true for me: “No one comes to the Father, but he comes through me…!” He appeared. He gently led me. I didn’t understand anything about His blood or sacrifice – I knew only of His Awesome Forgiveness and Love for me.

This is my prayer for you and yours today. X

… focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity]… (Heb 12:2)

So many distractions, and GOD knows them all. Some are no more than gossamer and cobwebs while some are in fact quite painful.

So often we cry out, “what’s all this for?” But like someone said “love doesn’t know where it’s heading, but it knows and trusts the One who is leading.” X

… discipline isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going against the grain. Later, of course, it pays off handsomely, for it’s the well-trained who find themselves mature in their relationship with God. (Heb 12:4)

Don’t know about you but discipline is a 2-way street to me. Giving hurts just as much as the receiving. You yearn for your child to accept and understand yet all you feel is their anger and animosity.

Lord, please give me a teachable spirit. X

Also at that time, people will say, “Look at what’s happened! This is our God! We waited for him and he showed up and saved us! This GOD, the one we waited for! (Isa 25:9)

I knew a guy who was extremely rich and whose stock line was “You can resolve any problem by throwing money at it…!” His wife died an alcoholic and his eldest daughter is seemingly not too far behind. His other daughter has been addicted to hard drugs since the age of 15 …!

Perhaps you’re reading this and thinking:

“… what must I do to be saved?” ….“Believe in the Lord Jesus [as your personal Savior and entrust yourself to Him] and you will be saved, you and your household [if they also believe].” (Acts 16:30)

(Jesus speaking) “This is My commandment, that you love and unselfishly seek the best for one another, just as I have loved you.” (John 15:12)

… ‘just as I have loved you!’

That’s the killer punch. We whine, moan and groan over this command “but Lord, you don’t know what they’re really like! How much they drive us all nuts!!!”

… the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others]… (Gal 5:22)

Holy Spirit, please help me … X
