Sunday

Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind.

You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind.

You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. With your hand of love upon my life, you impart a blessing to me. (‭‭Psa ‭139:1)

We approach our Heavenly Father who created everything we see and feel in this natural realm – and as such is in no way ‘limited’ as we are…! Jesus tells us plainly that NOTHING is impossible for Him. He also tells us to ‘ask’ – in faith that He both hears us and will respond. ❤️

Thursday

Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. (‭‭Pro 3:5‬)

I know this particular Scripture comes up many times – so perhaps the Lord needs us not just to read but ‘absorb’ it?

Personally, the next few verses are just as awesome …

Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go.

Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong.

Then you will find the healing refreshment your body and spirit long for. Glorify God with all your wealth, honoring him with your very best, with every increase that comes to you. Then every dimension of your life will overflow with blessings from an uncontainable source of inner joy! (‭‭Pro 3:6) ❤️

Saturday

So Jesus said, “I speak to you timeless truth. The Son is not able to do anything from himself or through my own initiative. I only do the works that I see the Father doing, for the Son does the same works as his Father.

“Because the Father loves his Son so much, he always reveals to me everything that he is about to do. And you will all be amazed when he shows me even greater works than what you’ve seen so far!” (‭‭John‬ ‭5:19)

Break this down – Jesus, the Captain of our Faith – the one who raised people from the dead, opened blind eyes, healed leper’s, and even more – is telling us that it is in, and during, his relationship with his (and our) Father GOD that he receives instruction as to what to do …!

“And I will ask the Father and he will give you another Savior, the Holy Spirit of Truth, who will be to you a friend just like me—and he will never leave you. The world won’t receive him because they can’t see him or know him. But you know him intimately because he remains with you and will live inside you.

“I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father! For I will do whatever you ask me to do when you ask me in my name. And that is how the Son will show what the Father is really like and bring glory to him. Ask me anything in my name, and I will do it for you!”

“Loving me empowers you to obey my commands.” (‭‭John‬ ‭14:12) ❤️

Tuesday

Let my passion for life be restored, tasting joy in every breakthrough you bring to me. Hold me close to you with a willing spirit that obeys whatever you say.

… Lord God, unlock my heart, unlock my lips, and I will overcome with my joyous praise!

For the source of your pleasure is not in my performance or the sacrifices I might offer to you. The fountain of your pleasure is found in the sacrifice of my shattered heart before you. You will not despise my tenderness as I humbly bow down at your feet. (‭‭Psa ‭51:12, 15-17‬)

This reminds me of the beautiful Keith Green song: “If I’d only trusted you…”

Well, I thought I depended upon you
At least that used to be what was happening with me
In those times of our first sweet communion
Nothing got in the way, I heard your voice everyday

When I first trusted you, gave my life to you
When I trusted you
Well, there’s something that needs to be cleared up
I feel so sorry inside, that my first love has died

Cause I’ve tried in my own strength to follow
When I’ve known all along, I just couldn’t go wrong
If I’d only trusted you, give my life to you
If I’d trusted you. ❤️

Saturday

How blessed and relieved are those who have confessed their corruption to God! For he wipes their slates clean and removes hypocrisy from their hearts.

Before I confessed my sins, I kept it all inside; my dishonesty devastated my inner life, causing my life to be filled with frustration, irrepressible anguish, and misery.

The pain never let up, for your hand of conviction was heavy on my heart. My strength was sapped, my inner life dried up like a spiritual drought within my soul.

Pause in his presence

Then I finally admitted to you all my sins, refusing to hide them any longer. I said, “My life-giving God, I will openly acknowledge my evil actions.” And you forgave me! All at once the guilt of my sin washed away and all my pain disappeared!

Pause in his presence

This is what I’ve learned through it all: All believers should confess their sins to God; do it every time God has uncovered you in the time of exposing. For if you do this, when sudden storms of life overwhelm, you’ll be kept safe. (‭‭Psa 32:2) ❤️

Thursday

(Jesus speaking) “God will give swift justice to those who don’t give up. So be ever praying, ever expecting, just like the widow was with the judge.

Yet when the Son of Man comes back, will he find this kind of persistent faithfulness in his people?” (Luke‬ ‭18:8‬)

Jesus asks us to be ‘ever praying,’ ‘ever expecting!’ Are we? Do we protect our prayerful hopes as if we were a pregnant woman? Hearts open, caressing, caring, wondering … believing?

Lord Jesus. Thank you that it is well with my soul… ❤️

Sunday

Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and he will provide for you what you desire the most.

Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly! (‭‭Psa ‭37:4)

Spend a few minutes just now and think … “when was the last time I genuinely allowed myself to ‘connect’ with GOD?”

Do you remember how amazing it felt, how all your cares seemed to fade away?

GOD hasn’t changed. Go visit with your Heavenly Papa’ now, He’s waiting for you. ❤️
