Thursday

Don’t be fooled by those who speak their empty words and deceptive teachings telling you otherwise. This is what brings God’s anger upon the rebellious! Don’t listen to them or live like them at all.

Once your life was full of sin’s darkness, but now you have the very light of our Lord shining through you because of your union with him. Your mission is to live as children flooded with his revelation-light! And the supernatural fruits of his light will be seen in you—goodness, righteousness, and truth.

… This is why the Scripture says, “Arise, you sleeper! Rise up from your coffin and the Anointed One will shine his light into you!” (‭‭Eph 5:6)

As I’ve gotten older I began to realise that it’s not the challenge itself that holds me back as much as the thought of it. I can either choose to quit and leave it for someone else to do, or I can tell my mind and heart that “…the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty.” (‭‭Phil 4:13) ❤️

Sunday

The LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. He refreshes and restores my soul (life); He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (Psa ‭23:1)

We all know that humankind has been given free will, and we see the results of our free will choices in the Media ever day – murders, rapes, violence, theft, perversions and worse …

The thing is, Jesus didn’t just die to please an angry GOD, he died so that ‘we’ could ‘be one’ with our Heavenly Father through His Spirit of Truth. A Divine Encourager who could never leave us, never forsake us.

Jesus clearly told us this as He was leaving the Earth, “And I will send you the Divine Encourager from the very presence of my Father. He will come to you, the Spirit of Truth, emanating from the Father, and he will speak to you about me.” (John‬ ‭15:26‬)

So what about our ‘free will? Our ability to think and act as if we were lost and without Christ … Now you must continue to make this new life fully manifested as you live in the holy awe of God—which brings you trembling into his presence.

God will continually revitalize you, implanting within you the passion to do what pleases him. (Phil 2:12) ❤️

Saturday

“There was once a man who had two sons. The younger said to his father, ‘Father, I want right now what’s coming to me.’ “So the father divided the property between them. It wasn’t long before the younger son packed his bags and left for a distant country. There, undisciplined and dissipated, he wasted everything he had. After he had gone through all his money, there was a bad famine all through that country and he began to hurt. He signed on with a citizen there who assigned him to his fields to slop the pigs. He was so hungry he would have eaten the corn-cobs in the pig slop, but no one would give him any.

“That brought him to his senses. He said, ‘All those farmhands working for my father sit down to three meals a day, and here I am starving to death. I’m going back to my father. I’ll say to him, Father, I’ve sinned against God, I’ve sinned before you; I don’t deserve to be called your son. Take me on as a hired hand.’

He got right up and went home to his father. “When he was still a long way off, his father saw him. His heart pounding, he ran out, embraced him, and kissed him. The son started his speech: ‘Father, I’ve sinned against God, I’ve sinned before you; I don’t deserve to be called your son ever again.’ “But the father wasn’t listening. He was calling to the servants, ‘Quick. Bring a clean set of clothes and dress him. Put the family ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Then get a grain-fed heifer and roast it. We’re going to feast! We’re going to have a wonderful time! My son is here—given up for dead and now alive! Given up for lost and now found!’ And they began to have a wonderful time.” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:11)

I believe that this is the Season of the Prodigals. The Holy Spirit is calling all back to Him and not just those who initially walked away through the lull of the world – but those also who have sought fame and fortune even in the church.

It’s time to come back home. ❤️

Friday

(Jesus speaking) “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me.

Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest.

Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (‭‭Mat ‭11:28)

As normal, I ask our Father what He wants to say and this scripture jumped right into my mind.

To me, the fundamental parts are: “watch how I do it” and “keep company with me…”

Enough said. ❤️

Thursday

God’s marvelous grace has manifested in person, bringing salvation for everyone. This same grace teaches us how to live each day as we turn our backs on ungodliness and indulgent lifestyles, and it equips us to live self-controlled, upright, godly lives in this present age. For we continue to look forward to the joyful fulfillment of our hope in the dawning splendor of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus, the Anointed One.

He sacrificed himself for us that he might purchase our freedom from every lawless deed and to purify for himself a people who are his very own, passionate to do what is beautiful in his eyes. So preach these truths and exhort others to follow them. Be willing to expose sin in order to bring correction with full authority, without being intimidated by anyone. (‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11)

On the day I came to Christ and (humbly) recognised all my sins and asked (begged) for his forgiveness, I became clean – and for the first time in years, I felt at peace! I swore to him that day that I would NEVER sin again! Little did I know then that battling my desires would be a daily affair!

But … I’m no longer alone in this! My life is a daily affair that BOTH of us now battle together! Hallelujah! ❤️

Tuesday

If you bow low in God’s awesome presence, he will eventually exalt you as you leave the timing in his hands.

Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.

Be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour. Take a decisive stand against him and resist his every attack with strong, vigorous faith. For you know that your believing brothers and sisters around the world are experiencing the same kinds of troubles you endure.

And then, after your brief suffering, the God of all loving grace, who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ, will personally and powerfully restore you and make you stronger than ever. Yes, he will set you firmly in place and build you up.

And he has all the power needed to do this—forever! Amen. (‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:6)

I began with just the first paragraph, but then couldn’t stop adding all the others! Powerful ❤️
