(Jesus speaking) “Those who truly love me are those who obey my commands. Whoever passionately loves me will be passionately loved by my Father. And I will passionately love you in return and will manifest my life within you.” (John 14:21)
“Loving me empowers you to obey my word. And my Father will love you so deeply that we will come to you and make you our dwelling place.” (John 14:23)
To be passionate means no second-hand cleverly written prayers – just an open heart. No need for the latest worship tape – just the sound of our singing, mumbling, crying …!
The freedom to throw off all our preconceived ideas and just ‘be’ who we are before Him – wounds and all. ❤️
…sin didn’t, and doesn’t, have a chance in competition with the aggressive forgiveness we call grace. When it’s sin versus grace, grace wins hands down. All sin can do is threaten us with death, and that’s the end of it. Grace, because God is putting everything together again through the Messiah, invites us into life—a life that goes on and on and on, world without end. (Rom 5:20).
‘Aggressive forgiveness!’ I like that …! Papà is strong and assertive! He won’t (can’t) let you down – He loves you far too much! X
