But me he caught—reached all the way from sky to sea; he pulled me out Of that ocean of hate, that enemy chaos, the void in which I was drowning.

They hit me when I was down, but GOD stuck by me. He stood me up on a wide-open field; I stood there saved—surprised to be loved! (Psalm 18:16)

When I read this my reaction was “huh?!” But then I began to remember all the times Papà has rescued me and instead of the expected ‘telling off’ I got love!

How He loves us. X

For God is satisfied to have all his fullness dwelling in Christ. (Col 1:19)

And Jesus, the Christ of GOD lives in our hearts, through the faith we put in him and his ability to help in our time of need. Amen. X

… the tongue is a small part of the body yet it carries great power!

Just think of how a small flame can set a huge forest ablaze. And the tongue is a fire!

It can be compared to the sum total of wickedness and is the most dangerous part of our human body. It corrupts the entire body and is a hellish flame! It releases a fire that can burn throughout the course of human existence. (James 3:5)

I’m sure that we all were part of conversations yesterday that either ‘discussed’ someone’s failure to perform, or the way they were handling a particular problem.

As a follower of Christ we have to be (constantly) aware that (whatever we think) Jesus IS there, watching and listening and His maxim of WWJD should be prevalent in all we do.

Lord, help me look to you before I open my big mouth and judge. Amen. X

The reason the Son of God was revealed was to undo and destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8)

Jesus didn’t tell us that he’d do his best to help us. He says: “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” (Matt 28:18)

Child of the Living GOD, he loves you and wants the best for you. X

So here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Leave all your cares and anxieties at the feet of the Lord, and measureless grace will strengthen you.

He will watch over his lovers, never letting them slip or be overthrown… My life’s hope and trust is in you, and you’ll never fail to rescue me! (Psa 55:22)

Many (too many), times, we view the situations we’re in through OUR eyes and pull back. We have a choice, as Jesus told Jairus, “… don’t yield to your fear. Have faith in me and she will live again.” (Luke 8:50) X

… if there is bitter jealousy or competition hiding in your heart, then don’t deny it and try to compensate for it by boasting and being phony. For that has nothing to do with God’s heavenly wisdom but can best be described as the wisdom of this world, both selfish and devilish.

So wherever jealousy and selfishness are uncovered, you will also find many troubles and every kind of meanness. But the wisdom from above is always pure, filled with peace, considerate and teachable. It is filled with love and never displays prejudice or hypocrisy in any form and it always bears the beautiful harvest of righteousness!

Good seeds of wisdom’s fruit will be planted with peaceful acts by those who cherish making peace. (James 3:13)

Lord, help me to be content with just who you made me to be. Amen. X

The life that pleases me is a life lived in the gratitude of grace, always choosing to walk with me in what is right.

This is the sacrifice I desire from you. If you do this, more of my salvation will unfold for you.” (Psa 50:23)

I’m all for boundaries, in fact I’d go as far as to say that we are where we are in the world because we allowed the boundaries that were set for us to move …!

However, I totally recognise that without His Awesome Grace in my life, I’d have been lost. His Grace taught me how to love, forgive and move on… X
