Friday

(GOD speaking) “I will lead the blind by a way they do not know; I will guide them in paths that they do not know. I will make darkness into light before them And rugged places into plains. These things I will do [for them], And I will not leave them abandoned or undone.” (‭‭Isa 42:16‬)

I have been blind … many, many times I haven’t wanted to see what was going on around me – to my harm.

I have wasted good money … many, many times on trying to satisfy my needs – and ended up just buying even more rubbish.

I have wasted time and effort striving through the most rugged and inhospitable of situations in the vain hope of finding a better life – and ended up lost and discouraged.

But even though I have willingly let go of my Heavenly Fathers hand and wandered off to ‘do my own thing,’ He has NEVER left me abandoned or undone.

Our Heavenly Father is Merciful. His loving arms are outstretched towards you right now. He’s calling you back from the ugly toxic places and relationships you’ve fallen into, back to Himself. He wants to heal your blindness and make the darkness light before you. He has a life of Peace for you.

Just ask … ❤️

Tuesday

Let my passion for life be restored, tasting joy in every breakthrough you bring to me. Hold me close to you with a willing spirit that obeys whatever you say.

… Lord God, unlock my heart, unlock my lips, and I will overcome with my joyous praise!

For the source of your pleasure is not in my performance or the sacrifices I might offer to you. The fountain of your pleasure is found in the sacrifice of my shattered heart before you. You will not despise my tenderness as I humbly bow down at your feet. (‭‭Psa ‭51:12, 15-17‬)

This reminds me of the beautiful Keith Green song: “If I’d only trusted you…”

Well, I thought I depended upon you
At least that used to be what was happening with me
In those times of our first sweet communion
Nothing got in the way, I heard your voice everyday

When I first trusted you, gave my life to you
When I trusted you
Well, there’s something that needs to be cleared up
I feel so sorry inside, that my first love has died

Cause I’ve tried in my own strength to follow
When I’ve known all along, I just couldn’t go wrong
If I’d only trusted you, give my life to you
If I’d trusted you. ❤️

Saturday

How blessed and relieved are those who have confessed their corruption to God! For he wipes their slates clean and removes hypocrisy from their hearts.

Before I confessed my sins, I kept it all inside; my dishonesty devastated my inner life, causing my life to be filled with frustration, irrepressible anguish, and misery.

The pain never let up, for your hand of conviction was heavy on my heart. My strength was sapped, my inner life dried up like a spiritual drought within my soul.

Pause in his presence

Then I finally admitted to you all my sins, refusing to hide them any longer. I said, “My life-giving God, I will openly acknowledge my evil actions.” And you forgave me! All at once the guilt of my sin washed away and all my pain disappeared!

Pause in his presence

This is what I’ve learned through it all: All believers should confess their sins to God; do it every time God has uncovered you in the time of exposing. For if you do this, when sudden storms of life overwhelm, you’ll be kept safe. (‭‭Psa 32:2) ❤️

Sunday

… I want to live my life so close to him that he takes pleasure in my every prayer.

Lord, when you said to me, “Seek my face,” my inner being responded, “I’m seeking your face with all my heart.” (‭‭Psa 27:4)

I love my children. I might not agree with all their choices – but I still love them. In fact, when they call to speak with me or my wife, my heart jumps for joy….!

Do I (can I ever), love more than GOD – never!

Go now and call to your Heavenly Father – no matter what choices you’ve made, he’s waiting to hear your voice. ❤️

Wednesday

So listen, friends! Through this Jesus, the forgiveness of sins is offered to you. Everyone who believes in him is set free from sin and guilt—(Acts‬ ‭13:38)

And it’s true. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be rescued and experience new life. But how can people call on him for help if they’ve not yet believed? And how can they believe in one they’ve not yet heard of? And how can they hear the message of life if there is no one there to proclaim it? (‭‭Rom ‭10:13)

Lord Jesus, help us all not just to speak to others about you but to show them how well they can know you too. ❤️

Monday

…Be agreeable, be sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble. That goes for all of you, no exceptions.

No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless—that’s your job, to bless. You’ll be a blessing and also get a blessing.

Whoever wants to embrace life and see the day fill up with good, Here’s what you do: Say nothing evil or hurtful; Snub evil and cultivate good; run after peace for all you’re worth.

God looks on all this with approval, listening and responding well to what he’s asked; But he turns his back on those who do evil things. (‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:8)

Thank you for helping me today Lord … ❤️

Sunday

Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ’s law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived. (Gal ‭6:1)

I read this morning how a young woman decided to end her life rather than continue to face the constant pressure of the Media and it broke my heart. It wasn’t just the sheer waste of a beautiful life that hurt my spirit, it was something she said just before she took her life. Apparently she had tried to confide in a friend, but they had rejected her – telling her she was ‘draining!’

Child of the Living GOD, read today’s Scripture again and be ever on the alert for those around us who are indeed broken and needing help … ❤️

Friday

Jesus said, “…Take it from me: Unless a person is born from above, it’s not possible to see what I’m pointing to—to God’s kingdom.” “How can anyone,” said Nicodemus, “be born who has already been born and grown up? You can’t re-enter your mother’s womb and be born again. What are you saying with this ‘born-from-above’ talk?” Jesus said, “You’re not listening. Let me say it again. Unless a person submits to this original creation—the ‘wind-hovering-over-the-water’ creation, the invisible moving the visible, a baptism into a new life—it’s not possible to enter God’s kingdom. When you look at a baby, it’s just that: a body you can look at and touch. But the person who takes shape within is formed by something you can’t see and touch—the Spirit—and becomes a living spirit.

“So don’t be so surprised when I tell you that you have to be ‘born from above’—out of this world, so to speak. You know well enough how the wind blows this way and that. You hear it rustling through the trees, but you have no idea where it comes from or where it’s headed next. That’s the way it is with everyone ‘born from above’ by the wind of God, the Spirit of God.” (John 3:3)

It’s a prerequisite that we can’t avoid to keep. X
