Jesus said, “…Take it from me: Unless a person is born from above, it’s not possible to see what I’m pointing to—to God’s kingdom.” “How can anyone,” said Nicodemus, “be born who has already been born and grown up? You can’t re-enter your mother’s womb and be born again. What are you saying with this ‘born-from-above’ talk?” Jesus said, “You’re not listening. Let me say it again. Unless a person submits to this original creation—the ‘wind-hovering-over-the-water’ creation, the invisible moving the visible, a baptism into a new life—it’s not possible to enter God’s kingdom. When you look at a baby, it’s just that: a body you can look at and touch. But the person who takes shape within is formed by something you can’t see and touch—the Spirit—and becomes a living spirit.

“So don’t be so surprised when I tell you that you have to be ‘born from above’—out of this world, so to speak. You know well enough how the wind blows this way and that. You hear it rustling through the trees, but you have no idea where it comes from or where it’s headed next. That’s the way it is with everyone ‘born from above’ by the wind of God, the Spirit of God.” (John 3:3)

It’s a prerequisite that we can’t avoid to keep. X

Monday – 17/7/17

Cry for help and you’ll find it’s grace and more grace. The moment he hears, he’ll answer.

Just as the Master kept you alive during the hard times, he’ll keep your teacher alive and present among you. Your teacher will be right there, local and on the job, urging you on whenever you wander left or right: “This is the right road. Walk down this road.” (Isaiah‬ ‭30:19)

… So if you find life difficult because you’re doing what God said, take it in stride. Trust him. He knows what he’s doing, and he’ll keep on doing it. (1 Peter‬ ‭4:19‬)

Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner. (1 Peter‬ ‭4:17‬). X

Friday – 14/10/16

…men and women don’t live by bread only; we live by every word that comes from GOD ’s mouth… (Deu 8:3)

Bob Gass writes “Ever been in a room when somebody said something that grabbed your attention? Like a light coming on, your mind was illuminated and you stopped talking. Why? Because what you were hearing were ‘words of wisdom’. And God won’t just give you insight for your own life, He’ll give you wisdom to share with others. And if you’re humble enough not to dominate every conversation, He’ll also speak to you through them. Think about it: God didn’t create the universe brick by brick – He spoke it into existence with a single sentence. So imagine your possibilities when He gives you ‘words of wisdom’!”

As Oswald Chambers wrote: “God doesn’t manifest Himself ‘to’ His children. God manifests Himself ‘in’ His children!

Jesus told us that if we trust God then we would do even greater works than he did. Let’s embrace this great promise and humbly submit ourselves and our opinions and allow Him to ‘speak!’ X

Saturday – 4/6/16

The Word was first, the Word present to God, God present to the Word. The Word was God, in readiness for God from day one.

Everything was created through him; nothing—not one thing!— came into being without him. What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn’t put it out. (John‬ ‭1:1)

… This Son perfectly mirrors God, and is stamped with God’s nature. He holds everything together by what he says—powerful words! (Heb 1:3)

As much as we want His Voice to boom across our unsurety, Jesus tells us quite clearly that it’s the Holy Spirit’s job to lead and guide us into all truth, (through deception and cloudy paths).

Holy Spirit, please help me and all those reading this. We’re listening … X

Friday – 19/2/16

…God can’t break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable. (Heb 6:13)

Whatever I try and write today the Holy Spirit draws me back to outline this simple fact. So … one of us needs to ‘hear’ this truth!

“Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches.” (Rev ‭3:22‬). X

Sunday – 11/10/15

GOD’s there, listening for all who pray, for all who pray and mean it. He does what’s best for those who fear him— hears them call out, and saves them. (Psalm‬ ‭145:18)
You’d think that this statement would be a no-brainier but when I sat back and listened to some of the prayers I mumbled through I began to see how little I was actually trusting in God …

Soften my heart Holy Spirit so I can truly pray. Help me to trust you by getting to know and love you more. Amen. X

Friday – 28/8/15

While he was still talking, some people came from the leader’s house and told him, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?” Jesus overheard what they were talking about and said to the leader, “Don’t listen to them; just trust me.” Mark‬ ‭5:35)
Personally, I think we reason far too much before we act on what Papà’s Heart asks us to do.
The word ‘supernatural’ is defined as: attributed to some force beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature.
So … not what ‘I‘ think, or what ‘circumstances‘ dictate, but what do ‘You‘ say about it Holy Spirit? X
