“… you will call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise [to God]. (Isa 60:18)

We live in an unprecedented age of ever shifting boundaries, one where truth is seen as subject to interpretation and justice is offered – but to the highest bidder!

But to the Children of GOD, we have been given the true assurance of our Heavenly Fathers Grace:

We are built on a sure foundation
We are protected
We are cared for
We are valued
We are loved

We can rejoice that we are hemmed in, before and behind by His Awesome Presence – our Salvation.

We can rejoice that when we go out, we never go alone. He leads us in His Triumphant procession through and back home through, the gates of Praise to our GOD. ❤️

Then the people of the region came out to see for themselves what had happened. When they came to where Jesus was, they discovered the notorious madman totally set free. He was clothed, speaking intelligently, and sitting at the feet of Jesus. They were shocked! Then eyewitnesses to the miracle reported all that they had seen and how the demonized man was completely delivered from his torment. After hearing about such amazing power, the townspeople became frightened. Soon all the people of the region of the Gerasenes and the surrounding country begged Jesus to leave them, for they were gripped with fear. (‭‭Luke‬ ‭8:35)

This got me thinking that like a child, fear comes through uncertainty – in effect, we fear the unknown, we fear getting it wrong and suffering the consequence (and shame).

If we were faced with a ‘possessed madman’ as a child, we’d probably hide behind our mothers, or as we grow older, our friends or colleagues… we’d adopt their ways, their bravado, their swagger – but taking on a role isn’t believing it!

Only when we can can truly face the unknown can we begin to discover who we ‘really’ are in Christ.

Lord, please let me feel your calming Presence as we walk together today throughout all the ‘unknowns’. ❤️

Keep me safe, O God, I’ve run for dear life to you. I say to GOD, “Be my Lord!” Without you, nothing makes sense.

My choice is you, GOD, first and only. And now I find I’m your choice! You set me up with a house and yard. And then you made me your heir!

The wise counsel GOD gives when I’m awake is confirmed by my sleeping heart. Day and night I’ll stick with GOD; I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go.

I’m happy from the inside out, and from the outside in, I’m firmly formed. You canceled my ticket to hell— that’s not my destination! And these God-chosen lives all around— what splendid friends they make! Don’t just go shopping for a god. Gods are not for sale. I swear I’ll never treat god-names like brand-names.

Now you’ve got my feet on the life path, all radiant from the shining of your face. Ever since you took my hand, I’m on the right way. (‭‭Psa 16)

My Father, my GOD, my safe place. ❤️

“There was once a man who had two sons. The younger said to his father, ‘Father, I want right now what’s coming to me.’ “So the father divided the property between them. It wasn’t long before the younger son packed his bags and left for a distant country. There, undisciplined and dissipated, he wasted everything he had. After he had gone through all his money, there was a bad famine all through that country and he began to hurt. He signed on with a citizen there who assigned him to his fields to slop the pigs. He was so hungry he would have eaten the corn-cobs in the pig slop, but no one would give him any.

“That brought him to his senses. He said, ‘All those farmhands working for my father sit down to three meals a day, and here I am starving to death. I’m going back to my father. I’ll say to him, Father, I’ve sinned against God, I’ve sinned before you; I don’t deserve to be called your son. Take me on as a hired hand.’

He got right up and went home to his father. “When he was still a long way off, his father saw him. His heart pounding, he ran out, embraced him, and kissed him. The son started his speech: ‘Father, I’ve sinned against God, I’ve sinned before you; I don’t deserve to be called your son ever again.’ “But the father wasn’t listening. He was calling to the servants, ‘Quick. Bring a clean set of clothes and dress him. Put the family ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Then get a grain-fed heifer and roast it. We’re going to feast! We’re going to have a wonderful time! My son is here—given up for dead and now alive! Given up for lost and now found!’ And they began to have a wonderful time.” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:11)

I believe that this is the Season of the Prodigals. The Holy Spirit is calling all back to Him and not just those who initially walked away through the lull of the world – but those also who have sought fame and fortune even in the church.

It’s time to come back home. ❤️

(Jesus speaking) “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me.

Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest.

Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (‭‭Mat ‭11:28)

As normal, I ask our Father what He wants to say and this scripture jumped right into my mind.

To me, the fundamental parts are: “watch how I do it” and “keep company with me…”

Enough said. ❤️

Jesus concluded his instructions to the seventy with these words: “Remember this: Whoever listens to your message is actually listening to me. And anyone who rejects you is rejecting me, and not only me but the one who sent me.” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:16‬)

What message does the world hear us speaking? Is it one of selfishness and self-centredness, or one of love, acceptance, help, forgiveness and grace.

Remember, He who is IN you is greater than he who is in this world. ❤️

Most of all, I’m writing to encourage you to pray with gratitude to God.

Pray for all men with all forms of prayers and requests as you intercede with intense passion.

And pray for every political leader and representative, so that we would be able to live tranquil, undisturbed lives, as we worship the awe-inspiring God with pure hearts. It is pleasing to our Savior-God to pray for them. He longs for everyone to embrace his life and return to the full knowledge of the truth. (‭‭1 Tim 2:1)

‘Intercede with intense passion’. If I was to break that down I guess I’d say – ‘pray from your heart like it really matters, like you really care!’ ❤️

And God has made all things new, and reconciled us to himself, and given us the ministry of reconciling others to God. (‭‭2 Cor ‭5:18‬)

Everyone seems to be going through tough times right now and because I act as a key worker (and am therefore still working), I suppose I get to see a lot more ‘issues’ than most – and yesterday was no exception.

I’ve been trying to share the Lord’s Peace with a terribly hurt and disappointed guy at work who’s going through a very horrible divorce right now.

At one point in the day he’d just received a particularly difficult email and came rushing over and picked up my telephone and started punching through my contacts. “Who are you looking for?” I asked. “Jesus!” He exclaimed. “I need to speak with him …!” I said, “He knows you’re looking for him and he will come!”

Thank you Lord for your Faithfulness to all who call on your Name. ❤️

Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly!

Quiet your heart in his presence and pray; keep hope alive as you long for God to come through for you. And don’t think for a moment that the wicked in their prosperity are better off than you.

I was once young, but now I’m old. Not once have I found a lover of God forsaken by him, nor have any of their children gone hungry. (‭‭Psa‬ ‭37)

Uncertainty. Anger. Jealousy. Bitterness. Fear… Lord, help me to quiet my heart in your presence as I pray and give all my concerns to you.

I give you the right to direct my life and lead me on the path of true life. Amen. ❤️

“You are to be holy to Me; for I the LORD am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples (nations) to be Mine.” (Lev ‭20:26)

From what I understand, the Hebrew term ‘Holy’ is transliterated as: ‘other than’. As such, because our very spirits have been ‘reborn’ we are no longer subject to the pulls, tugs and outright demands of this world, but to be ‘set apart.’

The Hebrew term ‘set apart’ is badal, meaning: to separate, disjoin, as two places by a veil, fence or wall.

Jesus spells it out for us in his prayer: “I am not asking that you remove them from the world, but I ask that you guard their hearts from evil, For they no longer belong to this world any more than I do.” (John‬ ‭17:15) ❤️
