This is what GOD says… “… the people I chose, the people I made especially for myself, a people custom-made to praise me.” (Isa 43:21)

(Jesus speaking) “You didn’t choose me, but I’ve chosen and commissioned you…”

“… to go into the world to bear fruit. And your fruit will last, because whatever you ask of my Father, for my sake, he will give it to you!” (John 15:16) X

Jesus said, “…Take it from me: Unless a person is born from above, it’s not possible to see what I’m pointing to—to God’s kingdom.” “How can anyone,” said Nicodemus, “be born who has already been born and grown up? You can’t re-enter your mother’s womb and be born again. What are you saying with this ‘born-from-above’ talk?” Jesus said, “You’re not listening. Let me say it again. Unless a person submits to this original creation—the ‘wind-hovering-over-the-water’ creation, the invisible moving the visible, a baptism into a new life—it’s not possible to enter God’s kingdom. When you look at a baby, it’s just that: a body you can look at and touch. But the person who takes shape within is formed by something you can’t see and touch—the Spirit—and becomes a living spirit.

“So don’t be so surprised when I tell you that you have to be ‘born from above’—out of this world, so to speak. You know well enough how the wind blows this way and that. You hear it rustling through the trees, but you have no idea where it comes from or where it’s headed next. That’s the way it is with everyone ‘born from above’ by the wind of God, the Spirit of God.” (John 3:3)

It’s a prerequisite that we can’t avoid to keep. X

Thursday – 9/2/17

… you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted. (‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:9)

From nothing – to something. From rejected – to accepted! That’s exactly who you are now. A ‘chosen’ Child of the Living GOD.

I’ve thrown myself headlong into your arms— I’m celebrating your rescue. I’m singing at the top of my lungs, I’m so full of answered prayers. (‭‭Psalm‬ ‭13:5) X

Thursday – 29/9/16

(Jesus speaking) “…God’s kingdom,” he said, “is like a king who threw a wedding banquet for his son. He sent out servants to call in all the invited guests. And they wouldn’t come!” (Mat 22:1)

Most of us will remember the older translation of: ‘many are called but few are chosen.’ Well, I read a great interpretation of this from a Greek scholar who says that the words ‘many’ and ‘few’ are actually interchangeable because the Greek word is inclusive and not restrictive!

Therefore – everyone had been invited, but only a few were permitted to stay for the wedding. In other words, everyone IS called, but some people refuse the invitation and are not chosen.

Let’s encourage one another today because Jesus doesn’t make mistakes over His choices of US!!

“You didn’t choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you. “But remember the root command: Love one another.” (John 15:16) X

Sunday- 03/07/16

(Jesus praying) “Father, I want those you gave me To be with me, right where I am, So they can see my glory, the splendor you gave me, Having loved me Long before there ever was a world.

Righteous Father, the world has never known you, But I have known you, and these disciples know That you sent me on this mission. I have made your very being known to them— Who you are and what you do— And continue to make it known, So that your love for me Might be in them Exactly as I am in them.” (John‬ ‭17:24)

Does Jesus get His prayers answered? Absolutely!

Then … the love that our Father GOD has for Jesus IS in us EXACTLY as the fact that Jesus IS in us!

And it’s this ‘High Love’ that draws us, calls us, leads and directs us ‘so that’ all men will know that we are Jesus’ disciples. Because, whether we understand it or not – we ARE God’s beautiful response to the needs around us.

Still not sure? Just ask Him. X

Tuesday – 28/6/16

Get the word out. Teach all these things. And don’t let anyone put you down because you’re young. Teach believers with your life: by word, by demeanor, by love, by faith, by integrity. Stay at your post reading Scripture, giving counsel, teaching. And that special gift of ministry you were given when the leaders of the church laid hands on you and prayed—keep that dusted off and in use.

Cultivate these things. Immerse yourself in them. The people will all see you mature right before their eyes! Keep a firm grasp on both your character and your teaching. Don’t be diverted. Just keep at it. Both you and those who hear you will experience salvation. (1 Tim‬ ‭4:11)

Child of God, in a time when everything’s shaking all around us and people are looking for direction and caring leadership. Let’s all teach with our life: by word, demeanour, love, faith and integrity.

And ESPECIALLY through the Holy Spirit. X

Thursday – 2/6/16

(Jesus transfigured) “… Just then a light-radiant cloud enveloped them, and from deep in the cloud, a voice: “This is my Son, marked by my love. Listen to him.” (Mark‬ ‭9:7‬)

Isn’t this worth rejoicing over? YOU too are His Child. Marked by His Love! Beautiful. Fabulous …!

God—you’re my God! I can’t get enough of you! I’ve worked up such hunger and thirst for God, traveling across dry and weary deserts. So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory. In your generous love I am really living at last! My lips brim praises like fountains. I bless you every time I take a breath; My arms wave like banners of praise to you.

I eat my fill of prime rib and gravy; I smack my lips. It’s time to shout praises! If I’m sleepless at midnight, I spend the hours in grateful reflection. Because you’ve always stood up for me, I’m free to run and play. I hold on to you for dear life, and you hold me steady as a post. (Psalm‬ ‭63:1). X
