Day 58/365

Turn back to God and be reconciled to him. (‭‭2 Cor‬ ‭5:19)

I came tired and heavy laden, dry and grimy, the light of Jesus dim within me.
Wooed and led to this pool by His gentle voice. Expectant, but apprehensive. Excited, yearning.
“Lord,” I had cried, “I want you to break me, to cleanse me, refresh me. To put your arms around me. To embrace Your bride and whisper words of love to me. I miss you Lord, please hurry – find me!”
“I remember the times when I soared with Eagles wings, Every sinew alive, pulsating. Your lifeblood in me. But now … Lord, take me to the high peaks – let me fly again.”
“Step into the water child, this pool of life. Go deeper. Let the cool waters wrap around you.”
“This is good Lord!”
“My child, trust Me, dive into the deep. Take your feet from the ground and plunge into the depths of My Love. Trust Me. Trust Me! Let My Spirit cleanse you.”
Deeper and deeper I go … peace. His Peace flowing, caressing me. There it is! There it is, that beautiful pearl – the Heart of God!
“Touch it child – take it – receive it – it’s yours to cherish!”
“My Jesus, my Lord.” Warm tears flow from me. Taking away the hurts that bound me. “I’m free – I’m Yours. I give You all of me … Lord, I thank You that You’ve forgiven me.”
“Let me stay here in this pool with You Lord, we can … sorry Lord, I know I must go. Back to the battlefield – strengthened, refreshed, your fire burning and shining in me.”
“This pool – Lord, how can I ever forget it. Inviting, welcoming, crystal clear and sparkling. Deep and steadfast. Filled with Your love. It’s brought Joy, it’s brought Healing – it’s brought ME back home to You.”

Day 57/365

Jesus replied, “Loving me empowers you to obey my word. And my Father will love you so deeply that we will come to you and make you our dwelling place.” (‭‭John‬ ‭14:23‬)

Relationship… relationship… relationship!!!

None of this walk has anything to do with ritual, or sacrifice, or anything else you can think of to ‘get GOD to act!’

It happens when we finally come to our senses and begins with an act of volition – a statement of the will that recognising our situation finally crumbles, gives in and discards our prideful stance. This action then reaches outward and upwards like a plume of smoke from the wreckage of our lives and whispers through the pieces of a shattered heart: “I need you…!”

By inviting GOD into your life, that simple act of giving over your broken and damaged ‘self,’ begins a cycle of events that will beautifully, wholly and systematically heal and transform ‘you’ as well as everything in and around you ‘forever!’

Some things will be perfectly restored, some things will be discarded – and all for the better!

And it all begins with accepting the invitation to a Relationship ❤️

Day 53/365

… older women must train the younger women to love … (‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:4‬)

This Scripture came alive for me once in Italy. I attended a prayer meeting where I was the only man present. During the course of the evening a woman asked for prayer. By the way the others were comforting her, I could tell that the problem she had was on going and terrifying.

It transpired that she had no family but a son and he had given his life to drink and drugs, so much so that ‘if’ he managed to find his way home then he would spend hours absolutely terrorising her!

As the ladies prayed I felt the Lord telling us that we needed a plan. Bottom line, she was to tell her son clearly that his behaviour wasn’t acceptable any more and that as he couldn’t act responsibly any more then ‘she’ would take the lead for him!

She was to fit a sturdy lock to her bedroom, intercede for him and then see what the Lord would do. After a week of pounding and hammering the door, the son finally stopped and just crumpled on the other side. She kept praying and over two more nights she heard him on the other side of the door sobbing and begging GOD to help him …!

After I’d left to come home, I got a message from the ladies. Apparently, the woman often brings her son to the prayer meetings now. By all accounts he’s now a lovely gentle and totally ‘changed’ man. ❤️

Day 49/365

For it is not from man that we draw our life but from God as we are being joined to Jesus, the Anointed One.

And now he is our God-given wisdom, our virtue, our holiness, and our redemption. And this fulfills what is written: If anyone boasts, let him only boast in all that the Lord has done! (‭‭1 Cor ‭1:30)

EVERYTHING you need is there for you. You only have to ask the Holy Spirit and He will be your Wisdom, your virtue, your holiness and your Redeemer. That way you can joyfully boast to all who will hear, “Look at all that the Lord has done for me!” ❤️

Thursday

… I’m full of myself—after all, I’ve spent a long time in sin’s prison. What I don’t understand about myself is that I decide one way, but then I act another, doing things I absolutely despise…

I know the law but still can’t keep it, and if the power of sin within me keeps sabotaging my best intentions, I obviously need help! I realize that I don’t have what it takes. I can will it, but I can’t do it. I decide to do good, but I don’t really do it; I decide not to do bad, but then I do it anyway. My decisions, such as they are, don’t result in actions. Something has gone wrong deep within me and gets the better of me every time…

I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn’t that the real question?

The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does. He acted to set things right in this life of contradictions where I want to serve God with all my heart and mind, but am pulled by the influence of sin to do something totally different. (‭‭Rom 7:14)

(Jesus speaking) “Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.” (‭‭Mat ‭11:28) ❤️

Wednesday

He (Jesus) was amazed at the depth of their unbelief! (‭‭Mark‬ ‭6:6‬)

We’re living in times where the Truth of GOD is ridiculed and science and human reason is glorified. Many practising Christians have forgotten their spiritual lineage and instead of living ‘in’ the Supernatural allow themselves the ‘normal’ hum drum existence of a budgerigar, rather than stretch their powerful wings and explore their true heritage of an Eagle!

Child of the Living GOD, we’re coming to a crossroads – either you believe and put your faith in the Gospel that cost the Christ of GOD His very Life, or into our scientists or doctors that tell us that if can’t make it happen, then it isn’t going to be!

“But I warn you: If you have a change of heart, refuse to listen obediently, and willfully go off to serve and worship other gods, you will most certainly die. You won’t last long in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.

I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live. And love GOD, your God, listening obediently to him, firmly embracing him. Oh yes, he is life itself, a long Life … I’ve placed in front of you Life and Good Death and Evil. And I command you today: Love GOD, your God. Walk in his ways. Keep his commandments, regulations, and rules so that you will live, really live, live exuberantly, blessed by GOD, your God … (‭‭Deu ‭30:15) ❤️

Tuesday

While Apollos was ministering in Corinth, Paul traveled on through the regions of Turkey until he arrived in Ephesus, where he found a group of twelve followers of Jesus. The first thing he asked them was “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?”

“No,” they replied. “We’ve not even heard of a holy spirit.” Paul asked, “Then what was the meaning of your baptism?” They responded, “It meant that we would follow John’s teaching.”

Paul said, “John’s baptism was for those who were turning from their sins, and he taught you to believe in and follow the one who was coming after him: Jesus the Anointed One.” When they understood this, they were baptized into the authority of Jesus, the Anointed One.”

And when Paul laid his hands on each of the twelve, the Holy Spirit manifested and they immediately spoke in tongues and prophesied. (‭‭Acts‬ ‭19:1)

Sunday

GOD ’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, his merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They’re created new every morning.

How great your faithfulness! I’m sticking with GOD (I say it over and over). He’s all I’ve got left. (Lam 3:22)

I’ve just been reading again how a Christian Priest in AD 264 was beheaded for breaking emperor Claudius II’s law that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, so he outlawed marriage for young men. Valentine, realising the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine’s actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.

While in prison awaiting execution, he prayed for the jailers daughter who was blind and her blindness was healed!

On the day of his execution he left her a note signed ‘Your Valentine’ ❤️

Sat

There is no one who calls on Your name, Who awakens and causes himself to take hold of You; For You have hidden Your face from us And have handed us over to the [consuming and destructive] power of our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]. (‭‭Isa 64:7‬)

He entered into the very world he created, yet the world was unaware. He came to the very people he created— to those who should have recognized him, but they did not receive him.

But those who embraced him and took hold of his name were given authority to become the children of God!

And so the Living Expression became a man and lived among us! And we gazed upon the splendor of his glory, the glory of the One and Only who came from the Father overflowing with tender mercy and truth! (‭‭John‬ ‭1:10)

Take hold of Christ Jesus and become the person who you were created in Him to be. A Christian (a ‘little Christ’) with all the tender mercy and truth you need to defeat the darkness you face. ❤️

Friday

“Come.” The Holy Spirit of GOD is calling you into His Presence …

“Receive.” The Holy Spirit of GOD sees all your needs and wants to heal you …

“Be made whole.” Receive The Holy Spirit of GOD and He will fill you with His Life Giving Presence …
