Thursday

This is the time to encourage each other to never be stubborn or hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. For we are mingled with the Messiah, if we will continue unshaken in this confident assurance from the beginning until the end.

For again, the Scriptures say, If only today you would listen to his voice. Don’t make him angry by hardening your hearts… (Heb 3:13)

Most of us who have brought up strong willed children will remember having to deal with all the histrionics – and associated horrible feelings. My wife and I used to tell them that if they didn’t want the grace we we offering then the law they equally rejected would now kick in.

Only Love conquers all … ❤️

Tuesday

There are six evils God truly hates and a seventh that is an abomination to him:

Putting others down while considering yourself superior, spreading lies and rumors, spilling the blood of the innocent, plotting evil in your heart toward another, gloating over doing what’s plainly wrong, spouting lies in false testimony, and stirring up strife between friends. These are entirely despicable to God! (Prov 6:16)

God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting ways— the path that brings me back to you. (Psa 139:23) ❤️

Monday

God designed us to feel remorse over sin in order to produce repentance that leads to victory. (2 Cor 7:10)

Many years ago, an archer would take aim at a target and if they missed it would be classed as sin – whether it was by an inch or a mile!

Sin therefore means to simply ‘miss the mark.’

Whenever we ‘sin’ we miss the mark that our loving Father has set for us, and we can’t whine, sulk or even pout at his choice of mark either – because his Holy Spirit is IN us to help us get there.

Child of the Living GOD, take aim again in His Strength. ❤️

Sunday

Jesus answered, “Do not yield to your fear… (Luke 5:10)

January 2020 and the story is still far from over. Many among us are fighting sickness – mental and physical. Many are struggling financially and some are in bondage to toxic relationships…

GOD IS FAITHFUL. Whenever His children cry out to be saved, he does respond and sends us a Saviour.

All he asks is that we trust him. We don’t need to work out a plan for ourselves, or understand the how’s or why’s. Instead, like a drowning man, we just need to quit struggling and be humble enough to follow his leading – his way out. ❤️

Saturday

(Jesus speaking) “… I have come into this world to prove what truth really is. And everyone who loves the truth will receive my words.” (John 18:37)

The definition of ‘prove’ is to provide evidence. He has come to ‘prove’ his truth in all of us who have believed in him – everyone who loves the truth. ❤️
