Sunday

“GOD ’s Message: “Don’t let the wise brag of their wisdom. Don’t let heroes brag of their exploits. Don’t let the rich brag of their riches. If you brag, brag of this and this only: That you understand and know me. I’m GOD, and I act in loyal love. I do what’s right and set things right and fair, and delight in those who do the same things. These are my trademarks.” GOD ’s Decree.” (‭‭Jer 9:23)

I found this beautiful quotation on bragging and wanted to share it with you: “The truest human is the one whose conduct proceeds from goodwill and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self control is equal to all emergencies; who does not make the poor man conscious of his poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his inferiority or deformity; who is himself humbled if necessity compels him to humble another; who does not flatter wealth, cringe before power, or boast of his own possessions or achievements; who speaks with frankness but always with sincerity and sympathy; whose deed follows his word; who thinks of the rights and feelings of others rather than his own; and who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue safe.” Markesa Yeager

Lord help me to be like this in my walk with You. ❤️

Saturday

I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life.

I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!” (‭‭Psa‬ ‭32:8)

I ran a Technology company in my youth and for many years we tried everything to get into a certain big business. Finally we got an appointment and as we sat in reception waiting for a certain lady, we received notification that she was running extremely late and as such didn’t want to see us. At that point an extremely distraught and angry woman appeared in reception, she was hysterically shouting at the receptionist and then rushed through to the elevators and banging the button loudly disappeared.

As we all stared in concern, I heard my Technical Director mumble “That’s her…”

My hear sank and as we all rose to our feet to leave, I heard the Lord say “Go and help her.”

Long story short, I called someone in the building I knew and he mediated a meeting with her and her staff in the company restaurant. As we all sat drinking coffee in a very difficult atmosphere, she suddenly turned to me and grabbing my arm started sobbing onto my shoulder. “My brother has just been diagnosed with cancer,” she sobbed. “Why would GOD do that?”

Right in the face of both our watching teams, I gave her how I’d met GOD through His Christ and how I’d always found Him Faithful. Through snot and tears she opened up about how she used to have a faith as a young woman, but pressures of work and responsibilities had drawn her away.

We spoke for over an hour (still in front of both teams). Long story short, GOD intervened and everything worked out great for all of us. Thank You Lord. ❤️

Friday

My brothers and sisters, when I first came to proclaim to you the secrets of God, I refused to come as an expert, trying to impress you with my eloquent speech and lofty wisdom. For while I was with you I was determined to be consumed with one topic—Jesus, the crucified Messiah.

I stood before you feeling inadequate, filled with reverence for God, and trembling under the sense of the importance of my words. The message I preached and how I preached it was not an attempt to sway you with persuasive arguments but to prove to you the almighty power of God’s Holy Spirit.

For God intended that your faith not be established on man’s wisdom but by trusting in his almighty power. (‭‭1 Cor 2:1-5‬)

The word on everyone’s lips right now seems to be: “What will the Church look like after lockdown?” What are people ‘really’ looking for?

Many will just go back to what they know. Clever preaching. Amazing worship. Great crèche for their kids and a chance to meet up with friends and mates and have a laugh over a good cup of coffee.

But … in the pattern that Jesus gave us, isn’t Church meant to be about standing with each other in Awe as our Gracious Father speaks the truth into our broken lives, while He mends our hearts, minds and bodies through His Holy Spirit? ❤️

Thursday

… we can also have great boldness before him, for if we ask anything agreeable to his will, he will hear us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we also know that we have obtained the requests we ask of him. (‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:14)

The ten of us bible students, together with my wife and three children arrived at the farmhouse in the south of France late in the day as the sun was setting. We were met with a lovely lady who not only opened her huge house to us, but also her heart. She instantly became our ‘Mamma’ and we all instantly loved her.

Her husband however was a totally different story. Sullen, short tempered and extremely grumpy, he made sure we kept our distance!

During a time of worship and prayer, the Lord spoke to the woman’s heart and told her she could have whatever she wanted, she immediately left the meeting and returned an hour later with her very disgruntled husband. He looked like a rabbit caught in headlights!

As hands were laid on him it was revealed that he was himself a believer but that he’d been very hurt sometime ago in the past.and had walked away, closing his wounded heart to the truth!

Bottom line, he was set free! His shocked wife had never known anything of his past and the new ‘Joy’ in the farmhouse was palpable! What a time of praise and worship we now enjoyed. Hallelujah! ❤️

Wednesday

All you lovers of God who want to please him, come and listen, and I’ll tell you what he did for me. I cried aloud to him with all my heart and he answered me! Now my mouth overflows with the highest praise.

Yet if I had closed my eyes to my sin, the Lord God would have closed his ears to my prayer. But praises rise to God, for he paid attention to my prayer and answered my cry to him!

I will forever praise this God who didn’t close his heart when I prayed and never said no when I asked him for help. He never once refused to show me his tender love. (‭‭Psa ‭66:16)

Thank you my Father for constantly showing us the way out of the holes we dig for ourselves. Hallelujah! ❤️

Tuesday

When all has been heard, the end of the matter is: fear God [worship Him with awe-filled reverence, knowing that He is almighty God] and keep His commandments, for this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, every hidden and secret thing, whether it is good or evil (‭‭Ecc 12:13)

If GOD has ever touched your heart in any way, then you will have begun to know some of his characteristics:

He is Faithful
He is Kind
He is Loving
He is Life
He is Healer
He is Able
He is Worthy
He is Great
He is Awesome
He is Wise
He is Gentle

Now think on your own testimony. ❤️

Monday

“My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace. They keep you safe on your way, and your feet will not stumble.

You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly. You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.” (‭‭Prov 3:21)

As we get older we begin to realise that even though we throw our faith and hope into a brighter future, there’s always another angle that we just haven’t considered, and even our best made plans can’t take everything into account. Bottom line, we can’t see much past our noses – much less the future.
So today, ask GOD for his ‘uncommon’ sense and ‘heavenly discernment’ and then use and wear them like the precious gift they are. ❤️

Sunday

Job answered GOD: “… I admit I once lived by rumors of you; now I have it all firsthand—from my own eyes and ears! I’m sorry—forgive me. I’ll never do that again, I promise! I’ll never again live on crusts of hearsay, crumbs of rumour.” (Job‬ ‭42:6)

GOD has revealed himself and this fact now demands attention.

The super-natural begins to invade our natural and coincidences become so normal that they become hard to ignore. In effect, our Father’s loving Presence is here with us, surrounding us, enveloping us, and this truth demands attention.

All the religion, all the rote, all the well prepared prayers dry up on our usually vibrant tongues and they end up as dull and flaccid as our formally buzzing minds. Because how do you respond to Someone, you didn’t (really) believe existed…?

You struggle to form a sentence, then He touches your very soul – exchanges your once-hardened heart, for one that’s new and soft. And in your new communication you begin to ‘see‘ with new eyes and ‘hear’ with new ears and ‘speak’ with new tongues, new words of life!

“… I admit I once lived by rumors of you; now I have it all firsthand—from my own eyes and ears! I’m sorry—forgive me. I’ll never do that again, I promise! I’ll never again live on crusts of hearsay, crumbs of rumour.” ❤️

Saturday

“Come. Sit down. Let’s argue this out.” This is GOD ’s Message: “If your sins are blood-red, they’ll be snow-white. If they’re red like crimson, they’ll be like wool. If you’ll willingly obey, you’ll feast like kings. But if you’re willful and stubborn, you’ll die like dogs.” That’s right. GOD says so.” (‭‭Isa 1:18)

I checked with St Google this morning as to what was the most common sin, and it appears that the most common DEADLY sin confessed by men is lust, and by women, pride.

You might think that these two are no big deal and why worry if everyone body’s doing it?’

We know that’s not true though and that our Father specifically left His estate in Heaven to come down and redeem a lost and broken mankind and help us to walk in the light. And whatever you think, it’s fundamental for us to see that these two major sins managed to get Satan and his armies permanently thrown out of Heaven. (Gen 6:1) and (Eze 28:12).

So, how do we break the chains of lust and pride over mankind …?

“… let him cling to My strength and rely on My protection [My stronghold], Let him make peace with Me, Let him make peace with Me.” (‭‭Isa ‭27:5‬) ❤️

Friday

Listen to how they whisper their slander against me, saying: “Look! He’s hopeless! Even God can’t save him from this!”

Pause in his presence

But in the depths of my heart I truly know that you, Yahweh, have become my Shield; You take me and surround me with yourself. Your glory covers me continually. You lift high my head when I bow low in shame. I have cried out to you, Yahweh, from your holy presence. You send me a Father’s help.

Pause in his presence

So now I’ll lie down and sleep like a baby— then I’ll awake in safety, for you surround me with your glory. Even though dark powers prowl around me, I won’t be afraid. I simply cry out to you: “Rise up and help me, Lord! Come and save me!” And you will slap them in the face, breaking the power of their words to harm me. My true hero comes to my rescue, for the Lord alone is my Savior. What a feast of favor and bliss he gives his people! Pause in his presence” (Psa ‭3:2)

Our Father tells me that we need to hear this today and that we should take time to PAUSE IN HIS PRESENCE . ❤️
