Day 263

https://www.muchgracepublications.com/daily-blog/

This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing. In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward … (Heb 10:25)

My friend sent me this and I couldn’t resist sharing … “A man wrote a letter to his church complaining that it made no sense to go every Sunday. He wrote: “I’ve gone for 30 years now, and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons, but for the life of me, I can’t remember a single one of them. So, I think I’m wasting my time.”

The Pastor wrote back: “… as you know I’ve been married for over 30 years. In that time my wife has cooked some 30,000 meals and for the life of me, I cannot recall more than a few of them.

But I do know this: They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to Church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!”

Thank you, Jesus, ❤️

KARP (VOL I)

ADVENTURES & ANGELS

My book has finally been published …

Other than the Prologue, which has been deliberately paused at the part of the supernatural intervention of GOD, the remaining chapters are written to introduce a wonderful character called Karp and his accompanying characters.

Most of the poignant life stories we review have either been based upon my own life experiences, testimonies I’ve read and heard, or heart-rending situations that have impacted me sufficiently to make me want to shout out and echo the words of so many philosophers before me through the ages, “those who cannot learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.”

As we meet each character and they open their lives to examination, we see how similar we all really are. How the same grasping passions that were at work in our ancestors in the first century – greed, pride, fear, doubt and even self-loathing, run eternally and consistently through us all within the twenty-first. Even though we view life through a harsh unbending prism of reality because the light and hope of God burns anew and ever faithful towards his children who are locked within their own personal struggles.

In the opening chapters, we see how Karp’s family perished through an outbreak of Cholera and how, in his depressive state, he was kidnapped, brutally abused, and forced into slavery, yet divinely protected and ultimately loved and mothered through the rekindled kindness of a lonely old spinster, who we find is none other than a seventy-year-old, depressed, and companionless, Mary Magdalene.

We also meet several other predominant characters who have already enjoyed a footnote in Christian lore and world mythology. These characters are brought back into the light within the pages of the book, and as we investigate their lives, I believe that we, too, will be challenged by their choices.

From helping a King to rescue a kidnapped princess and working covertly with the occupying Roman forces to rid the islands of evil marauding pirates to then dealing with the terrible demonic powers at the temple of Artemis of Ephesus, Karp is always at the forefront of adventurous events and spurs us all on ever to choose the greater paths of hope and faith.

Day 262

(GOD speaking) “But face the facts, all you oppressors, and then wring your hands. Listen, all of you, far and near. Prepare for the worst and wring your hands. Yes, prepare for the worst and wring your hands! Plan and plot all you want—nothing will come of it.

All your talk is mere talk, empty words, Because when all is said and done, the last word is Immanuel—God-With-Us.” (Isa 8:9)

Read it again, then think about what it is that stands in your way and oppresses you. Medical problems? Physical? Financial…?

Every dark way must be brought to the light. Wrongs righted. Injustices removed. Every heart of pride will be humbled low before him. Every deception will be exposed and replaced by the truth so that everyone everywhere will be ready to see the Life of God! (Luke 3:5)

Our hearts bubble over as we celebrate the fame of your marvellous beauty, bringing bliss to our hearts. We shout with ecstatic joy over your breakthrough for us. (Psa 145:7)

I’ve just been reading about how the early Egyptians were so finicky that they used to stop worshipping and giving sacrifices to their chosen gods whenever they felt unfairly dealt with – in effect, blaming them for everything that was happening.

It seemed that they really believed that all their prayers and their giving warranted a totally ‘blessed‘ life, and unless they (constantly) got whatever they wanted, they would simply walk away from that god and never go back!

Father, please forgive my constant selfish petulance, please help me to come back to your loving care. I miss You, Lord…  Amen. ❤️

(GOD speaking) “Honour me by trusting in me in your day of trouble.

Cry aloud to me, and I will be there to rescue you.” (Psa 50:15)

All over the world today, people everywhere will be putting their total trust in the hands of other humans and the machinery they operate. Train Drivers or Pilots. Doctors and nurses, Police, Financial specialists and even Media personalities …

Our Father GOD, who knows every end from its beginning, and who is in TOTAL control of every atom and of every universe, is asking us to unambiguously honour Him – by simply entering into a living relationship with Him where, getting to know Him, our trust will flow naturally. ❤️

Day 259

https://www.muchgracepublications.com/daily-blog/

Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord.

Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you! (Psa 27:14)

  • Why do we give up – because we want our own way?
  • Why are we impatient – because we’re selfish and want it now!
  • Why do we separate ourselves from our entwinement – because we’ve learned nothing from Eve, and like her, we can be so easily led.
  • Why do we need to be brave and courageous – because we need to learn not to run away from hurt and pain and to stand with Jesus and face whatever stands against us ‘both’ full on!
  • Why do we need to keep hopeful – because GOD has ‘shown’ us how much He cares and even when he seems to fade away He is still bigger than anything that could ever try and rip us away from Him.

Bottom line – He doesn’t want robots! He gave us free will and revealed Himself to us, so that we could decide for ourselves whether or not we would choose Him in every situation.

So to you – Child of the Living GOD, I say choose Life! ❤️

Day 67/365

Make sure you don’t forget GOD, your God, by not keeping his commandments, his rules and regulations that I command you today. Make sure that when you eat and are satisfied, build pleasant houses and settle in, see your herds and flocks flourish and more and more money come in, watch your standard of living going up and up—make sure you don’t become so full of yourself and your things that you forget GOD, your God (‭‭Deu‬ ‭8:11)

I was still trying to ‘live by Faith’ when GOD opened the door for me to have my own business. Suddenly money began flowing in and (for me), it became so easy to become full of myself and the things and enjoy it.

One morning, I was walking through Red Lion Square in London, just heading off for a coffee when I heard the Lord speak to me in my heart, “I’ve taught you to live through lack, now I’m going to teach you how to live and survive in plenty!”

Brothers and sisters, it was the hardest, most horrible, hurtful time for me EVER!

Everybody wanted a piece of the pie! Business partners betrayed me. Friends betrayed me… and because I didn’t get the perceived ‘justice’ I believed I was entitled to from GOD, and in order to retain as much as I could, I willingly became the wicked avenger!

It was only when cancer came for me that my eyes finally opened and I realised that I wasn’t trusting GOD at all. I loved having the money (the power), just not the responsibility to GOD for it!

Like the old proverb, “Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it!” ❤️

Day 66/365

So now we draw near freely and boldly to where grace is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness. (‭‭Heb‬ ‭4:16‬)

When I was young, I remember a priest teaching me “We pray to Mary because GOD, (like your earthly father), is always extremely busy and doesn‘t like to be bothered. Mother Mary, (like your Mother), knows the best time to approach grumpy GOD and she is able to get Him to use His Power so as to get what you need …”

I’ve grown up since then through meeting the Living GOD, and now know that I can have a Relationship with ‘The One’ with enough Power to either change ‘me’ or to change the ‘situation’ …!

PRAYER REQUEST:
Lydia – I don’t get much news from her loving parents, but let’s keep her before the Lord in prayer
Jen – young mother of 2 girls (11 and 19), after a long battle with cancer has been taken into a hospice …

Loving Father, the medical people have pronounced their diagnoses, what do You say about this Lord? ❤️

Day 65/365

What you’re after is truth from the inside out. Enter me, then; conceive a new, true life. (‭‭Psa 51:6)

We watched the film “I can only imagine,” last night and the tsunami of emotions that came from seeing how an aggressive father perpetually abused his wife and young son was extremely difficult, to say the least.

The emotions that welled up showed me that although I thought I’d forgiven my dad … I hadn’t even come close!

Unfortunately bitterness, hatred and the like can and do effect us – mentally, physically and spiritually. We don’t just carry scars, but open festering wounds.

Child of the Living GOD, hear my heart. The freeing, healing process can ONLY begin when we take it all to the true Physician Jesus and ask Him to enter into the darkened recesses that we’ve carefully locked and hidden away.

Only His Love can set us free! Only His Wisdom can set us truly free from the toxic effects of a broken life.

Come Lord Jesus. Come. ❤️

Day 64/365

And the Lord came and called as before, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel replied, “Speak, your servant is listening.” (‭‭1 Sam‬ ‭3:10‬)

Many years ago the Lord asked me to write a book and although I initially set about it with gusto, something my wife said stuck in my mind. “You won’t be able to finish it until you’ve met all the characters …”

Well … after 35 years of searching, I believe I’ve finally met all the characters I needed in order to complete the first draft and my book has now been sent to a sister for her (much appreciated) professional review.

I’m not telling you this to brag, but to openly declare that I’ve done my best to only write what He’s shown me – only declare what He has told me.

Like the song playing in my head – my emptiness was all I had to bring. My brokenness was all I could provide.

Is He calling out to you? Listen… ❤️

Day 63/365

This is the kind of life you’ve been invited into, the kind of life Christ lived. He suffered everything that came his way so you would know that it could be done, and also know how to do it, step-by-step. (‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:21)

As many of you know, I grew up with the historical Jesus, but when I was actually introduced to Him as the Christ of GOD, I really struggled.

I loved that I’d come alive and what I’d just experienced and genuinely wanted more, but I struggled to let go of all the bling and crud that the world was offering, so very craftily, I turned to a woman that I knew was praying for me and in effect, I made her my intercessor.

I didn’t believe that because of my life choices my prayers would even hit the ceiling, so I bombarded her with all my prayer requests.

She was lovely, and this relationship would have probably gone on forever – but GOD had other ideas – He didn’t want one of His kids as badly bound up as me!

And so for over 35 years, He’s been showing me day by day, how to live the kind of life Jesus lives and how it can be done, step-by-step! ❤️
