About muchgrace

Hmmm ... I guess the title pretty much says it all! Much Grace 'is' the story of my life :-)

Saturday

The message I preached and how I preached it was not an attempt to sway you with persuasive arguments but to prove to you the almighty power of God’s Holy Spirit. For God intended that your faith not be established on man’s wisdom but by trusting in his almighty power. (‭‭1 Cor‬ ‭2:4)

I want to set the mood for a miracle that happened yesterday. So for those of you that know me, I’ve taken the past two weeks as holiday as I’ve been struggling with a huge gall stone that won’t pass. I’ve been having issues with work over this and it came to a head yesterday with my boss basically telling me that there was no more work for me – with all that entails …!

So here I am at my apartment feeling pretty low and sorry for myself, when a neighbour asks me to help him out with something. He suffers with severe asthma and I could hardly understand what he was saying as his breathing was so bad!

As I finish helping him, I felt the Holy Spirit pushing me to tell him about Jesus. Truthfully, I was still licking my wounds over work and didn’t want to …! Finally, I couldn’t stand the Holy Spirit’s nudging anymore and blurted out, “The Lord completely healed me of my asthma when I first came to him!”

I then gave him my full testimony. I want you all to understand that I never directly prayed for him – we just talked. Finally, as he was telling me something, I said, “So, how come you’re not wheezing anymore …?” He stopped abruptly and the look on his face was priceless!

I had to leave him then to go for a CT Scan, but I did text him later and this was his reply: “Funnily enough my breathing seems to be quite a lot better. It’s rather strange. I have a new inhaler but I only give myself one inhalation per day so I don’t think it can be that. I will be very interested to see how I am tomorrow. Usually my inhalers don’t make any difference. Could be a miracle 😉

Get ready guys, because GOD IS ON THE MOVE !!! ❤️

Friday

Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude.

Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ. (‭‭Phil 4:6)

Whenever a child is frightened or in pain, it’s natural for the mother or father to draw them in close to their body – to hold them tight and reassure them.

I see this Scripture in this way. It speaks of the comforting and reassuring Presence of GOD, wherein we can blurt out every detail of our lives in the sure and faithful knowledge that He will help us to get everything sorted out.

And the Peace – the awesome, wonderful, heavenly Peace, that transcends human understanding comes and gives us the reassuring answers we need in order to carry on.

Thank You Father. I love you ❤️

Thursday

(Jesus speaking) “The words that I speak to you aren’t mere words. I don’t just make them up on my own. The Father who resides in me crafts each word into a divine act.” (‭‭John‬ ‭14:10)

Just let that sink in …

When we allow the Holy Spirit to truly reside in us. i.e. when we stop trying to take control and make decisions for ourselves. When we cease wanting to take vengeance and submit to His leading of loving our enemies. In effect, when we hand over the reins of our life and stop trying to be the ‘old us!’

Then He will craft each word, each action, each meeting – into a divine act.

Just let that sink in … ❤️

Wednesday

Sooner or later we’ll all have to face God, regardless of our conditions. We will appear before Christ and take what’s coming to us as a result of our actions, either good or bad. (‭‭2 Cor ‭5:10)

It was very early morning and I just couldn’t get back to sleep. Then from somewhere distant I heard an old hymn being sung and before I could focus on the tune, or even catch the words, I saw myself in Heaven with all of His Children. We were all lined up and facing His Throne – a huge, vast army. Each one of us had been placed in their section, each one of us fully dressed in differing types of magnificent glowing armour.

Then, from somewhere above us, one of the Holy Ones issued the order – PRESENT YOUR ARMS! In unison, everyone drew their swords and as one motion, slapped them into position against their chest plates.

As we waited, I remember thinking how beautiful my sword looked in the light, instead of just being all silver as everyone else’s, it had a lightening steak of bronze from the very tip down to the distance of about a hand span.

Suddenly, I was aware of His Presence. He stood right in front of me and I remember holding my breath as he took my sword for inspection. Snapping off the end of the sword He sighed deeply saying, “Son, this isn’t bronze as you supposed – it’s rust!”

My world came crashing down around me! I have never felt so ashamed, so bereft! To say that I cried would have been an understatement. And then, in a gentle voice that sounded like the ripple across a thousand waters, He gently said, “Son, you can’t use this anymore – here, have Mine.”

My message to you today is simple – whatever you’ve done, whatever you’re even thinking of doing, or putting your hope into – think again and get ready!

We will all – and one day soon, be judged by His Awesome Goodness and Mercy. ❤️

Tuesday

“Teacher, which commandment is the greatest of all?”

Jesus answered him, “The most important of all the commandments is this: ‘The Lord Yahweh, our God, is one!’ You are to love the Lord Yahweh, your God, with every passion of your heart, with all the energy of your being, with every thought that is within you, and with all your strength. This is the great and supreme commandment.

And the second is this: ‘You must love your neighbor in the same way you love yourself.’ You will never find a greater commandment than these.” (‭‭Mark‬ ‭12:28)

We measure ourselves on not killing, or stealing, or committing adultery, etc., but here – in plain sight – is the most important! Loving our Heavenly Father with every passion of our heart, with all the energy of our being, with every thought that is within us, with all our strength!

The point is, we all know ourselves far too well to know that without the Holy Spirit’s help, we can ‘never’ fulfil any of GOD’s commands.

So we bow our heads and pray …

Heavenly Father, we lay down all our pathetic attempts to be good and acknowledge our need of You and Your help. We want to come into your Presence through the door that Jesus made for us by the sacrifice of his death and shed blood and want to allow your Holy Spirit to fill our lives so that He guides our paths into your real Life. Amen. ❤️

Monday

“God resists you when you are proud but continually pours out grace when you are humble.”

So then, surrender to God. Stand up to the devil and resist him and he will turn and run away from you. Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting.

Feel the pain of your sin, be sorrowful and weep! Let your joking around be turned into mourning and your joy into deep humiliation. Be willing to be made low before the Lord and he will exalt you! (‭‭James 4:6)

When I was first saved the teaching was that the devil doesn’t have to shout, he only has to whisper. In fact he whispers because he knows that our natural inquisitiveness will work for him in that we will stop moving away from him, but stop and turn and say “What?” So he whispers again. And we get even closer to him and say, “What did you say?” All this continues until, like the evil snake he is, we get so close that he easily latches onto us!

Child of the Living GOD, to It’s time to throw away some of the things we use daily; fear, hatred, envy, jealousy, lust, anger, excuses, lies … and accept that they were all born of childish self-preservation – which is after all born of us saying “I don’t need you GOD, I can look after myself” i.e. ‘pride!’

Don’t play games with the devil, do what GOD says “Surrender to GOD, stand up to the devil, resist him and he will flee from you!” ❤️

Sunday

May the blessings of God’s grace overwhelm you! (‭‭Col ‭4:18‬)

We can read this and just let it flow over our head, or we can spend a few seconds thinking on what the word ‘overwhelm’ actually means.

History shows that we can be easily overwhelmed by the weather, such as floodwaters attacking our homes. On a physical level, our hearts likewise confirm that we can be overwhelmed by the feeling of guilt after a particularly awful situation.

Or, as this Scripture points out, we are to expect to be overwhelmed by a huge mass of GOD’s Grace as it deals with all the crud that has stuck tight to us and our lives – mental, physical and spiritual.

Child of the Living GOD, get into His Presence now and ‘only believe’ … ❤️

Saturday

God claims the world as his. Everything and everyone belongs to him! He’s the one who pushed back oceans to let the dry ground appear, planting firm foundations for the earth.

Who, then, ascends into the presence of the Lord? And who has the privilege of entering into God’s Holy Place? Those who are clean—whose works and ways are pure, whose hearts are true and sealed by the truth, those who never deceive, whose words are sure. They will receive the Lord’s blessing and righteousness given by the Savior-God. They will stand before God, for they seek the pleasure of God’s face, the God of Jacob.

Pause in his presence

So wake up, you living gateways! Lift up your heads, you ageless doors of destiny! Welcome the King of Glory, for he is about to come through you.

You ask, “Who is this Glory-King?” The Lord, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, invincible in every way!

So wake up, you living gateways, and rejoice! Fling wide, you ageless doors of destiny! Here he comes; the King of Glory is ready to come in.

You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?” He is the Lord of Victory, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, the invincible commander of heaven’s hosts! Yes, he is the King of Glory!

Pause in his presence (‭‭Psa 24) ❤️

Friday

For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. (‭‭Psa ‭37:28‬)

Our Heavenly Father is the Ultimate Parent. His eyes never leave us – He never forsakes us.

His Holy judgements are forever sifting though all our (sometime downright stupid) choices to ensure the best possible outcome in our lives.

Even when we face people who have been corrupted through their own choices, and we get conned into allowing them to sow their ugly toxic seeds of bitterness, unforgiveness, anger and excess our way, our Heavenly Father doesn’t just shake His head and leave us to wallow in our own filth. Like the Good Gardener, He sorts through the harmful weeds we’ve allowed to be sown in our lives, and helps us to remove them.

Because as Jesus told us, “Not one promise from God is empty of power, for nothing is impossible with God!” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:37‬) ❤️

Thursday

(GOD speaking) “I will not fail you or abandon you.” (‭‭Jos‬ ‭1:5‬)

Riots …
COVID …
Insurrection…
Media lies…
Fear …
Sickness …
Hatred …
Racism …
Wars …
Plagues …
etc .,

The world has been here thousands of times, and if the Lord delays his coming, it could well be thousands more.

But in each and every generation, those who belong to GOD have lived under His Promise of Peace.

(Jesus speaking) “I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!” (‭‭John‬ ‭14:27‬) ❤️
