Tuesday – 16/6/15

Jesus came down the mountain with the cheers of the crowd still ringing in his ears. Then a leper appeared and went to his knees before Jesus, praying, “Master, if you want to, you can heal my body.” Jesus reached out and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be clean.” Then and there, all signs of the leprosy were gone. Jesus said, “Don’t talk about this all over town. Just quietly present your healed body to the priest, along with the appropriate expressions of thanks to God. Your cleansed and grateful life, not your words, will bear witness to what I have done.” (‭Matt 8‬:‭1).
I just read a debate on whether the age of miracles had gone. The thing is, Jesus is the same – yesterday and forever, and as He hasn’t gone and left us, then the GOD of miracles is very much still here!

He’s with us – and He still wants to! X

  1. Glad to see someone who knows that the God who heals us is still “I AM”. I try to relay, if you don’t believe healing is for today, just take your authority and command healing especially of an unbeliever (somehow, they receive healing easier – quite telling actually). Jesus didn’t tell us to pray to God to heal the sick, He said “you” heal the sick. The believer shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. As far as I can tell, the word of God is settled and abides forever.
Mostly, (and I speak from conviction) we’re afraid – afraid of approaching people, afraid if healing doesn’t manifest immediately we’ll look stupid etc. But it’s not about us. We’re not the one doing it. His Holy Spirit works through us, but we have to make our self available to be used.

    Beautiful post. Blessings.
